New Class in Breightmet
We would like to wish a warm welcome to all our new beginners from Leverhulme Primary School! We hope you enjoy your karate journey with us!
If you are local to the Breightmet area and would interested in becoming an Assistant or a Cadet Leader, Simon Sensei would be grateful to anyone who would like to help out in this class. Brown and Black Belt Course & Dan Grading Results: 23/4/2023
We are so pleased to report that we have 1 new Sandan (the awesome Jo Sysum Sensei) , 3 new Nidans and 12 new Shodans.
Upcoming Club Events

Club Kyu Grading
Date: Sunday 14th May 2023
Time: 11am-1pm
Venue: Kearsley Academy, Springfield Road, Bolton. BL4 8HY.
Places: 80 grading places allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
Instructors will put forward the names of the students who are attempting grading. You will just need to confirm your attendance with your Sensei, turn up and pay on the day.
Spectators and supporters are more than welcome.
60 Minute Bootcamp
Date: Sunday 14th May 2023
Time: 9.30am-10:30pm (before the grading)
Venue: Kearsley Academy, Springfield Road, Bolton, BL4 8HY.
Cost: £6.00 per person (Instructors and their family members are free of charge)
Work off all the extra calories from the Bank Holidays at our 60 minute Bootcamp with Paul Sensei.
No gi required, open to everyone including parents/family members.
May Competitions
Our squad members are in action on Sunday 21st May at the AMA National Championships at the Castle Leisure Centre in Bury.

Squad Classes
The next Kata Squad Class will be taking place on Monday 15th May and the next Kumite Squad will be taking place on Monday 22nd May.
Combined Senior Class
The next senior class for Assistant Instructors to train with the Instructor team is Monday 22nd May from 8-9pm at Thornleigh Salesian College, Sharples Park, Bolton. BL1 6PQ.
Hirota Black Belts Order
We are putting in an order for Embroidered Hirota Black Belts (handmade and personalised in Tokyo Japan) on Friday 5th May. We have received a few orders already from those who graded to Black Belt but anyone can add to this order and there are some new colours available for embroidery. The return of the South Manchester supergrading!
Looking ahead to June we have another Brown and Black Belt Course and Dan grading booked in on Saturday 11th June. Venue (TBC)
We will see the return of the South Manchester grading which will take place on Saturday 17th June at the National Taekwondo Centre in Manchester
RTK Club Championships - Sunday 9th July
Our next Club Championships is fast approaching and all the medals and certificates have already been ordered.
This is one of the best events of the year, get training for it now!
We have Kata and Kumite events as well as team events for everyone.
It is fun and friendly and run by our Instructor team.
