We hope you have enjoyed all the wonderful sunshine and had a great school holiday period. Whether you've been away on holiday, spending time with family, or continuing your karate training, we hope you've made the most of the summer break.

As we head towards an action-packed September, there are still plenty of opportunities to get involved, achieve your goals, and celebrate your karate journey!

🏅 Summer Attendance Challenge – Only 8 Days Left!

There are just 8 days remaining to complete our Summer Attendance Challenge.

Complete 8 or more training sessions during the challenge period and you will receive a Gold Medal in September!

This is a fantastic opportunity to challenge yourself, build consistency, and be recognised for your commitment and dedication to training throughout the summer months.

📸 Summer Photo Competition – Enter Before It's Too Late!

We've received some absolutely amazing entries so far from all over the world! It has been fantastic seeing our students taking Red Tiger Karate wherever their summer adventures have taken them.

This weekend, Jaime Sensei will be competing at the British Karate Federation Championships.

🚀 September is Packed with Opportunities!

We have an incredible September planned with courses, gradings, leadership development and national-level training opportunities.

🟤⚫ Brown & Black Belt Course

Date: Sunday 6th September 2026
Time: 1:00pm – 3:00pm

Venue:
Kearsley Academy
Springfield Road
Kearsley, Bolton
BL4 8HY

Cost:
£12.00 per person
£10.00 each for 2 or more from the same household

💳 Pay by cash or card on the day.

Places: 60 places available on a first-come, first-served basis.

This advanced training course is highly recommended for all Brown and Black Belts. If you are planning to attempt any Dan Grades at our Autumn Course and Dan Grading, attendance is essential so that we can assess your readiness.

🎓 South Manchester Club Kyu Grading

Date: Saturday 12th September 2026
Time: 1:30pm – 3:30pm

Important Reminders

✅ You must have a Club Badge sewn onto the left chest of your uniform.
✅ You must hold a valid licence to grade.

👉 Purchase or renew your licence

Students will be invited by their Instructor when they are ready to grade. Payment can be made by cash or card on the day.

👥 Cadet Leader & Assistant Instructor Development Class

Date: Sunday 13th September 2026
Time: 11:00am – 12:00pm

Kearsley Academy
Springfield Road
Bolton

These classes are provided by the club free of charge for our Cadet Leaders and Assistant Instructors who support classes throughout the year.

Cadets and Assistants will train together but work within separate development groups to focus on both:

  • Improving personal karate performance

  • Developing leadership and teaching skills

We would love to see as many of our Cadets and Assistants as possible taking advantage of this fantastic opportunity.

🥋 North Manchester & Lancashire Club Kyu Grading

Date: Sunday 13th September 2026
Time: 1:00pm – 3:00pm

We look forward to seeing students from across our North Manchester and Lancashire clubs working towards their next grade and taking the next important step in their karate journey.

📱 New Booking App Coming Soon

We're excited to announce that a brand-new club app and payment system will launch on 1st October.

The new platform will make class bookings and account management much simpler and more convenient.

Important: Please do not make any bookings beyond 30th September.

Further information and guidance will be sent out during the first week of September.

🌟 EKNGB Course with Paul Wolstencroft Sensei

To round off our busy September, our Chief Instructor, Sensei Paul Wolstencroft, will be teaching a course on behalf of our National Governing Body, the EKNGB.

The event is taking place right here in Manchester and Sensei Paul would greatly appreciate the support of our members.

Finally, we would like to say a huge congratulations to Jaime Sensei and Joe R on being selected to represent the North of England at the EKNGB Championships.

This is a tremendous achievement and a reflection of the hard work, dedication and commitment both have shown over many years of training.

🏫 School Demonstrations & Assemblies – Bookings Now Open!

We are now taking bookings for our popular School Demonstrations and Assemblies for September and October.

Our assemblies are a fantastic opportunity to introduce children to the many benefits of karate, including confidence, self-discipline, respect, focus, perseverance and goal-setting. They are always great fun and provide an exciting experience for pupils and staff alike.

If you would like us to visit your school, or if you would like to be part of our demonstration team and take part in one of our school assemblies, we'd love to hear from you.
