UPCOMING EVENT - RTK SUMMER COURSE THIS SUNDAY

RTK Summer Course with Special Guest Instructor Pasq Mura Sensei Course - 7th Dan Black Belt and former Kumite and Kata Champion- this Sunday 13th July - 11:00am-1:00pm @ Kearsley Academy, Springfield Road, Kearsley. BL4 8HY. £12 per person or £10 each for 3 or more in the same household.

Summer Attendance Rewards

To keep you motivated over the Summer we are rewarding you lovely people for your regular attendance over the School Holiday. Our classes will keep you fit and motivated of the Summer Break and it is the perfect time to get some extra training in, especially if you are on a break from other sports such as football etc.

The vast majority of our classes will be running as normal throughout the School Holidays with the exception of AfterSchool Clubs. We rely on your support to keep our classes going over the Summer so get your sessions booked in now.

You are more than welcome to train at any class in the Club. For more advanced students we hold a day training class every Wednesday morning from 10:00am-11:00am. This class is suitable for 6th Kyu green belts and above. Children are welcome too over the holidays and this class will count towards your total. It’s a tough one so make sure you bring a drink and your mitts and pads. You can book your place via the APP.

The Summer Attendance Rewards program starts from Sunday 20th July and ends on Sunday 7th September so you have seven weeks to get as many lessons in as you can.

There are 3 levels of awards:

Gold🥇 Award for those who train in 10 or more classes

Silver🥈 Award for those who attend 8 or more classes

Bronze🥉 Award for those who attend 6 or more classes

Awards will be given out by Instructors in classes from Monday 8th September onward.

Next RTK Club Championships - Sunday 12th October

It’s the announcement you’ve all been waiting for………… Our next Club Championships is taking place on Sunday 12th October at Kearsley Academy, Springfield Road, Kearsley.

You’ll be able to compete against students of a similar age and grade from other Red Tiger classes and you can win some beautiful bespoke medals, or add to your collection!

Test yourself in Kata, Kumite, Kickmaster or Pairs Kata, get used to performing under pressure and get to know students from all areas of the Club.

Online entry will opening soon and as always, you’ll get a certificate just for taking part and Fair Play awards for those displaying exemplary behaviour and etiquette!

The Kath Head award will also be up for grabs for anyone going over and above and showing great heart!

Debbie and Dave Sensei’s Urmston Dojo are the reigning Champions - can they make it 3 in a row?

Stretford Dojo won the most Fair Play Points! Can any other other Dojos stop them?

Picside will be attending again so you can get some amazing action shots!

It’s always a brilliant day with a buzzing atmosphere and you’ve got to be in it to win it. So save the date and get training!!!!

Get Competition ready with our New Squad Coaches

We have Squad Classes running every Monday evening @ Thornleigh Salesian College, Sharples Park, Bolton with our new Squad Coaches Sam Jackson Sensei 3rd Dan, Jaime Pratley Sensei 3rd Dan and David Smale Sensei 3rd Dan, all have been training since childhood and successfully competing for many years. This class is open to all and gives you an excellent opportunity to work on Kumite or Kata in a focused environment with experienced Instructors. Take your karate to the next level, put the time and the work in and you’ll reap the rewards.

We also do a monthly Squad Class in South Manchester with Paul Wolstencroft Sensei and Rob Head Sensei.

These Squad classes are open to all! Book via the APP. Early booking recommended as these classes always fill up

Jaime Pratley Sensei competes in Croatia

Well done to Jaime Pratley Sensei who travelled to Croatia to compete in the WKF Youth Championships in Porec last week. He competed in Kata alongside his friends and colleagues at Sale Dojo & Yanagi Kai. Jaime Sensei had a great experience competing against the very best Karatekas in the World. Bit by bit is how you make it to the top and Jaime Sensei works extremely hard towards his goals. Medal places are decided by such fine margins at this level so keep up the outstanding work and keep inspiring the rest of us. We are always proud of you!
