Squad Fundraiser was a big success

Thank you to everyone who attended our Kata and Kumite Course taught by the Squad on Sunday 25th June.

We hope you enjoyed the course as much as we did. The squad members did a brilliant job teaching and we managed to raise a grand total of £396.50 which is a great start. We are grateful for your kindness and support.

I hope you came away having learned and improved. Huge thanks to Jaime Pratley who led the kumite section and did a wonderful job!

There will be a few more fundraising events over the next couple of months as we try to raise as much as we can for those selected to go to the WKF Venice Youth Cup in December.

Taking part in International events is costly as many of our squad members need the WKF Approved Red and Blue Gi’s and extra equipment.

There are also flights, accommodation and entry fees to find so everything helps.

Next Fundraising Event:

Rob Head Sensei will be taking the next Bootcamp on Sunday 16th July from 9.30am-10.30am at Kearsley Academy. Rob Sensei has kindly agreed to donate all proceeds from the Bootcamp will go to the Squad fund.

It is fitness class. Anyone can take part, no karate experience or uniform necessary. Just wear something loose and comfortable.

Parents are more than welcome to join in.

The music and Rob Sensei’s jokes might be terrible, but we will have fun and you’ll feel better after it’s over!

Minimum donation: £6.50 or whatever you can afford. Discounts for families - £5.00 each per person.

No need to book in, just turn up and pay on the day.
