January Newsletter

Happy New Year everyone and we cannot wait to welcome you back to our classes!

We hope you have enjoyed a relaxing break and time with your families. For some Christmas will have been a hard period with plenty of households being hit by Omicron, people feeling isolated and people mourning the loss of loved ones. Our thoughts have been with you during this time.

As we (try to) look forward to what the New Year will bring, we have big plans to get you back into your fitness routine and get you hustling once again!

So come on, set some goals and let’s get to work. Our Instructors are all super-motivated to get you all back training hard.

Our classes are re-opening tonight and our Kata Squad class is back on. It takes place at the new time of 7-8pm at Thornleigh Salesian College, Sharples Park, Bolton, BL1 6PQ.

We have plenty of space in the following classes this evening for those who missed out due to Bank Holiday last night and fancy getting their first class of the year under their belt:

  • Stoneclough @ Prestolee Primary School with Callum Sensei

  • Radcliffe @ Wesley Methodist Primary School with John and Helen Sensei

  • Elton @ Chantlers Primary School with John O’ Donovan Sensei

  • Horwich @ Claypool Primary School with Daryl Sensei

  • Reddish @ Abingdon Primary School with Rob Sensei and Rachael Sensei

  • Denton @ Greswell Primary School with Charlotte and Sam Sensei

  • Stockton Heath @ St Thomas Primary School with Jon C Sensei

  • Altrincham @ Bollin Primary School with Debbie & Dave Sensei

All the usual safety protocols will be in place. As always please make sure you santise your hands and equipment before you come to class. We will continue to do all we can to keep you safe. If you have any symptoms of COVID, don’t come. We can always rebook your class. We must continue to look after one another.

With that in mind……

We have taken the decision to move our Bootcamp and Brown and Black Belt Course onto ZOOM this Sunday 9th January.

All you need is a little space at home and you can join Sensei Paul and the Instructors in our first fitness Bootcamp of the Year. This is open to all including parents. The price is per link not per person so you only need to book once for a family.

It starts at 11am giving us all the chance to surface for the day (especially you teenagers).

The brown and black belt course will immediately follow the bootcamp for all our higher grades (3rd Kyu’s and above). The syllabus for Shodan, Nidan and Sandan will be covered all in the space of an hour. This is a ‘must not miss’ if you are thinking of attempting grading in early 2022. There is no better way to kickstart your preparation by seeing exactly where you are up to and how much work you have to do. We want to see all your lovely faces
