March news and events

Thank you to all the students who are training hard and persisting through this most challenging of lockdowns. Your commitment and dedication is much appreciated and won't be forgotten. All of our usual class will be running as normal and we have special Shodan and Nidan preparation classes continuing throughout March.As always, we are trying our best to keep you motivated throughout this difficult period. We do not have a dojo start date confirmed just yet. We are waiting for the EKF to gain permission from Sport England. They will also confirm whether we will need to continue with strictly limited numbers and separate training squares.As soon as we know what is happening, we will let you know.We have a number of events to keep you busy this month and help you improve your karate.

SQUAD CLASS

Squad Class will now be split into two sessions from this evening - Kumite Squad and Kata Squad. Remember both of these classes are open to all students and the cost is just £6 for both.Kumite class will run from 6.30-7.30pm with Rachael Sensei and Molly Austin-HogsdenKata class will run from 7.30-8.30pm with Paul Sensei, Mike Sensei and Grace BaronYou are welcome to train in just one or both. There is no change in the way you need to book it as it will be the same link for both sessions. Just book for 'Squad Class'.

NEXT KYU GRADING DATE

The next grading will be Sunday 18th April 11am-3pm. Places will be limited and you will be able to book via the APP. Please make sure you will have done the required amount of lessons before booking.

JOE KELLAWAY KUMITE CLASS 3

We have booked Joe Kellaway Sensei for his monthly kumite class on Sunday 28th March 11am-12pm. You can book this via the APP.

KATA COMPETITION IN EVERY CLASS ON LAST WEEK OF MARCH

We want to give you all a chance to win an award and will be running a Kata competition in every class from the 25th March to the 31st March. You do NOT have to take part if you don't feel confident. It will just be a bit of fun for the last 10/15 minutes of the class. You can compete against each other to see who comes out on top and is your class's Kata Champ! Your Sensei will be the judge and we will send out an award in the post to the lucky winners!The more classes you do that week, the more chance you have of winning!Good luck everyone!

LICENSE RENEWALS

You can renew expired licenses through the club online shop by following this link:https://www.redtigerkarateclub.co.uk/karate-shop/product/jks-england-1-year-license-renewals/To check if your license is in date, you need to look at the EKF slip at the back of your book. Licenses are being processed and posted on the same day.
