Well done to our Yorkshire Warriors!

We would like to congratulate Emma Ginn Sensei, Rob Head Sensei, Dave Robertson Sensei and Daryl Brady for completing an extremely gruelling obstacle course called the ‘Yorkshire Warrior’ on Saturday 30th April.

They managed to raise almost £900 for the New Start Charity based at Wythenshawe Hospital which specialises in supporting transplant patients and their families. This charity is a very special one, particularly as they have helped to transform the life of Sensei Emma’s Mum Pauline Ginn who successfully underwent a lifesaving Double Lung and Heart Transplant only last year. After being given only days to live, a donor was found and because of the selfless actions of another persons family, Pauline can enjoy the extra time she has been blessed with and make more precious memories with hers.

A miraculous story which just has to be shared to highlight the importance of Organ Donation. Pauline herself is a remarkable women whose bravery and determination is nothing short of inspirational. The support given by the charity to Pauline and the Ginn family has been invaluable. It must be very pleasing for the whole family to be able to raise such a large amount so that the charity can continue their amazing work.

So it is easy to see why they were all so happy to get this muddy and exhausted! Well done to you all, we are super proud of you!

Yorkshire Warriors

It looked like you all thoroughly enjoyed yourselves and a few more of us can get involved if you want to repeat it next year!
