It has been a busy weekend indeed for some of our Red Tigers. Grace Baron, Connor Cherry, Sam Jackson, Lori-Ann Moran and Hannah Cain all took part in the JKS England Squad Comp on Sunday 28th February.
This is the first competitive event of the year in the JKS Squad Calendar and our guys did us proud once again. They all trained hard and continue to improve as they gain more experience.
Connor Cherry took part in the Mens Kata which is such a tough category and did well considering he has just moved up to the adults group and spent all day competing at our Tournament the day before.
Lori-Ann Moran managed to come third in the Junior Female Kumite which is a great performance considering she has been battling injury all week and like Connor performed in 5 categories in our Kata comp.
Grace Baron and Sam Jackson did brilliantly and came in second and third place in the Junior Kata. Both Sam and Grace ended up losing out to Johan Santos who is an elite EKF Competitor. Well done! They will both grow from this experience and continue to be inspired by Johan’s performances. Grace had to withdraw in the junior kumite after sustaining a foot injury. We hope that it heals quickly for her and are sending our love and get well wishes.
Hannah Cain competed in the Womens Kumite and came in 3rd Place which is another great achievement for our girl who is still just 17 years old!
We are proud of you all. Congratulations!
