JKS England success at the BKF’s

We are pleased to report that JKS England enjoyed a hugely successful day at the British Karate Federation International Open last weekend.

There were almost 800 entries in total coming from 75 teams and JKS England managed to come in 2nd place on medal table. JKS Scotland came out on top, so congratulations also to our Scottish Counterparts who have so many extremely talented competitors and are providing to be a very formidable team this year.

Huge well done to all the Red Tigers who were selected to compete at this prestigious event including: Louis Johnson, Ellis Pindoria-Stott, Molly Austin-Hogsden, Lori-Ann Moran, Ron Matthews and Grace Baron. I’m sure you will have all taken away a great deal of experience and have plenty to work on.

Two of our girls brought home medals, well done ladies!

Lori-Ann Moran bagged herself a Bronze Medal in the Individual Junior Female Kumite -53KG and Grace Baron won a Gold medal in the Female Cadet & Junior Team Kata event alongside teammates Jessica Maitland from Kensho and Millie Stanley from Walsall Karate.

Amazing stuff. We are proud of you all.

We’d also like to say a huge good luck to Grace Baron and Ellis Pindoria-Stott who both fly out to Berlin on Friday with the elite JKS England Team to compete in the WKF International Banzai Cup. Enjoy it and do your best 🙂
