A Huge Turnout for our Final Combined Cadet Leader and Assistant Instructor Class

What a great class we had on Sunday 13th November. It was the last combined class with Cadet Leaders and Assistant Instructors training together in 2016. The atmosphere was absolutely buzzing and the karate on display was outstanding as usual. We don’t call you our gifted and talented for no reason. So many future (and existing) Champions, Student of the Year contenders and potential Instructors in the ranks, we really are in an excellent place as a Club, with our future looking very bright indeed.

The turnout was fantastic with well over 100 Cadets, Assistants and Instructors training at Matthew Moss. The dedication and commitment of our Instructor team amazes us every single month and we were so pleased to reward our Cadets for all the hard work they put in throughout the year with a shiny gold Cadet Leader medal.

Thank you all for your help and hard work in what has been another thoroughly enjoyable and hugely successful year for Manchester’s largest karate club. We really are very lucky to have so many people who care about the progression on our Club and the students in our classes.

You are all fantastic role models and our future leaders. Many of you carry this responsibility with great maturity and take your role very seriously and it is those students we will be inviting back to Cadet Leader in 2017.

So far we have developed 3 fab Instructors through our Cadet Leader – Assistant Instructor – Class Instructor system and those are Sensei Callum, Sensei Joni and Sensei Brandon. With a few of our Cadets making Assistant this year, who is going to end up teaching their very own class next? We have so many great young talents to choose from. Keep up the excellent work.

You are all little stars and we would like to wish you the best of luck if you are going to attempt re-selection in January.

Huge thanks to Mike Beckwith Sensei who taught the Assistant Instructors. You will also be rewarded with an Assistant Instructor medal at our last combined senior class of the year. This is due to take place on Tuesday 20th December instead of Monday 19th December as previously advertised. The time will be 8pm-9.30pm at Thornleigh Salesian High School. Usual venue just a different day.
