We are delighted to report that the JKS England Squad earned some brilliant results over the weekend at the English Karate Federation National Championships on Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th April.
The EKF is the World Karate Federation’s only recognised National Governing Body for Karate in England. With Karate heading into the Olympics in 2020, only members from the EKF will be chosen to represent England at the next Olympic games. For JKS England competitors, it is so important to be attending EKF events, learning from those at the highest level and doing your very best to get on that podium.
The final tally for the JKS England Squad stood at 3 Gold Medals, 4 Silver Medals and 9 Bronze Medals. This is a great medal tally and one which I am sure all the National Coaches are proud of.
We would like to congratulate the following Red Tigers who represented JKS England at this event:
- Lori-Ann Moran
- Callum Miles
- Sam Jackson
- Louis Johnson
- Grace Baron
- Molly Austin Hogsden
All have done our Club very proud and have gained some valuable experience at the highest level domestic competition in England.
Keep at it, stay determined to learn and you’ll continue to improve.
