Golden first day at the BKF’s

JKS England have sent a very strong squad to complete at the British Karate Federation’s National Competition at Ponds Forge Arena in Sheffield and we are off to a flying start. JKS England are currently sitting in 4th position after the first day with some outstanding performances from our Juniors.

Fingers crossed there will be many more medals to fellow tomorrow.Let’s congratulate the Red Tigers who have represented JKS England on the day: Matthew Affleck, Louis Johnson, Zak Thomas Blackhurst, Molly Austin-Hogsden and Grace Baron.

All have given their best and competed brilliantly.

Molly and Grace came in 1st Place winning Gold in the 12-13 Pairs Kata

Grace followed up their big win by adding an Individual Bronze medal to her tally!

Shortly after both Grace and Molly were back in action in the team kumite but were unfortunately disqualified. Unlucky girlies!

Zak Thomas-Blackhurst made a big impression at his very first BKF comp coming in 2nd Place and winning a very posh silver medal. Well done little man!

Congratulations to you all and as always a big thanks to the Squad Coaches Matt Price Sensei + Nick Heald Sensei, the fab parents, travelling supporters and Mike Baron Sensei who has helped calm the nerves and supported our team. We have two Red Tigers in action tomorrow Sam Jackson and Callum Miles Sensei, best of luck to you both and of course the rest of the mighty JKS England Squad!

Go get them!!!!!!!!
