What a fantastic day we had at our Club Championships on Sunday 24th June.

Huge thanks to the competitors and parents for giving up their day and showcasing the enormous talent we have here at Red Tiger.

The performances we saw we just brilliant, everyone tried their best and the sportsmanship shown on the day was second to none.

Win, lost or draw, you are all winners for having a go. Well done.

We hope you have left feeling inspired to continue to work on your karate and push on to improve. Some students found themsleves in tough categories, just remember, next time, you’ll be even better and may find you are the oldest and highest grade.

We also hope you enjoyed seeing our England Squad members in action, all of whom we are extremely proud of and happy to have them inspire others at our comp. Their standard is one which we can all aspire to and it is all possible here at Red Tiger. We are one big Family Club and these guys spend countless hours plus hundreds of pounds a year travelling up and down the country to represent our Club. Some were given a very good run for their money on the day and we are delighted to see such talent coming through and show such potential to follow in their footsteps.

Biggest thanks goes to our Instructor team who selflessly give up their day to help us not only run the event but also to set it up and clear everything away. From lending us their own equipment to laying mats to having to make those difficult decisions on the day, we really couldn’t do it without each and every one of them. They worked so hard together as a team and the event was a resounding success.

Thanks also to Jessie Willis who ran the food stall and Helen Wolstencroft who sold the stock. Superstars.

If anyone has any great photo’s from the day, feel free to share them on our facebook group page named ‘Red Tiger Karate’. If you are not already a member you can request to join and we will add you.

I anyone has the video of Molly, Grace and Izzy doing their Gojushihosho demonstration and bunkai please can you send that in too. It was brilliant and we’d love to see it again. Well done girls and Mike Baron Sensei who I’m sure had to work hard with the choreography! Absolutely loved it.

Here are the lucky medal winners from a great day! well done everyone!

I’ll be looking forward to the next one once I recover from this haha!
