ZOOM Grading Results: Sunday 1st November

We would like to congratulate all of the students who attempted grading on Sunday 1st November via ZOOM. We are delighted to report that every grading candidate was successful and all certificates and belts have already been sent out via first class post. I have also updated your grade on the app. Well done to you all.You are now a unique part our Club’s history and we really must applaud perseverance and determination to progress despite everything going on. The pressure to perform at your best when you aren't in the dojo with the energy of others to keep you going must make it so difficult. You did it and you did it brilliantly by the sound of it.Small groups of students were put to the test for 1 hour under the watchful eye of the Chief Instructor Paul Wolstencroft Sensei and JKS Grading examiner and Assistant Chief Instructor Mike Beckwith Sensei. Many Class Instructors also dialled in to watch and support their students. Then add in to the mix anyone watching you at home. OMG the stress! It must take some confidence! The feedback from both Paul Sensei and Mike Sensei has been fantastic and there were some stand out performances. Both examiners were reasonably pleased with what they saw. The first group up were the students attempting orange, red and yellow belts. They all worked really hard and we have plenty of beginners who got their first full grade. Amazing! Joe Rutter and Aaran Marbell were outstanding and recorded very high marks. Keep up the fantastic work. The next group up was the green, purple and purple and white belts. There are plenty of high marks across the board. Looks like a great group of students.  We have three new green belts; Tenzin Palmo and Mitchell and Marley Little. Great work - well done. We have 2 new purple belts; Lauren Everett and Anton Sandilands and 4 new purple and white belts; Mel and Evie Horrocks and Luke and Katie Wilson. You were all brilliant. Keep up the amazing work. Big boss man Luke was the stand out and Sensei Paul is keeping an eye out for him now. (I think that means you are doing well Luke. he said you were like a younger Ellis Pindoria-Stott, and that is a VERY good thing!).There were plenty of students attempting their Brown Belts. Each and every one of these students has put the work in over the years and remained very dedicated to the club and their training. We are pleased and proud of you all.Layla Davies, Dexter Earley and Zena Clarke from Reddish all did brilliantly and are making great progress towards their black belts. All three are a pleasure to teach and quick to correct everything you ask them to.  John Oliver from the Darwen class successfully attempting his brown belt and recorded excellent scores. Keep it up John. We had Joshua P, Joshua M and Oliver Webster who have all shown outstanding dedication and determination to complete their grade the 2nd time around. We are chuffed for you fellas! Grace Wilson and Kyla Bailey complete the brown belt group and both young ladies were absolutely marvellous. Well done. Keep pushing forward everyone!Giuseppe Pezzino and Liam Conway have both been training with us for many years and successfully attempted their 1st Kyu's. They both have an excellent standard and an even better attitude. Giuseppe and Liam are so talented, they will make awesome black belts when the times comes. We are really looking forward to helping them both achieve everything they are capable of. Their potential knows no limits!Well done everyone. We will be holding a meeting with Instructors tonight to see if it will be possible to do a December grading. As soon as we know, we will make an announcement.Huge thanks as always goes to the Sensei's who make it all happen and teach you all so brilliantly. Without you guys, the students wouldn't be able to accomplish these grades. Thanks also to Mike and Leesa Sensei who we simply cannot function without! Our team are the BEST!
